Our story starts at a small temple in India, where dozens of Hindu women sit on wooden chairs, waiting for their hair to be shaved. This beautiful and selfless act in the temples of India -the ritual of Tonsure. This ritual is a sign of religious devotion and humility. Women selflessly shave their beautiful hair and offer them to a higher power, thereby achieving spiritual enlightenment. Devotees don’t receive any money but are rewarded with food and religious serenity. The Temple sells the hair to our Factory; this way, the temple can use the money to help the people in the community.

What we find beautiful and uplifting is that one woman’s act of selflessness and enlightenment would give another hope and empowerment.
