Frequently Asked Questions

Please click on the question below to see the answers to some of the most common questions our customers have.

  1. High Quality and Natural Texture: Indian hair is known for its natural strength, softness, and luster. It typically has a healthy sheen and a naturally thick and full texture that makes it a popular choice for hair extensions. The hair often comes in a variety of textures, from straight to wavy to curly, which adds to its versatility.
  2. Raw and Unprocessed: 100% raw Indian hair is hair that has not been chemically treated, dyed, or processed in any way. This means it retains its natural cuticle layer, which helps maintain its strength and minimizes tangling. Unprocessed hair also generally looks and feels more natural.
  3. Durability and Longevity: Because it is not chemically processed, raw Indian hair is often more durable and long-lasting compared to processed hair. With proper care, it can last for a significant amount of time, making it a good investment for high-quality hair extensions or wigs.
  4. Natural Appearance: The natural cuticle alignment of raw Indian hair contributes to a more realistic look and feel. When installed, it blends seamlessly with natural hair, providing a more authentic appearance.
  5. Versatility: Raw Indian hair can be styled, colored, and treated similarly to natural hair, giving users the flexibility to achieve various looks while still maintaining the hair’s quality and integrity.
  6. Cultural and Ethical Considerations: Much of the raw Indian hair sold in the market is donated in religious ceremonies, often as an act of devotion. This can add a layer of cultural significance and ethical considerations for those who value the traditions and practices associated with the sourcing of the hair.
  7. Variety: India is home to a diverse range of hair textures and types. As a result, raw Indian hair can offer a wide range of textures and colors, which allows users to choose hair that best matches their own or desired look.

Overall, 100% raw Indian hair is prized for its natural qualities, durability, and versatility, making it a preferred choice for many people looking for high-quality hair extensions or wigs.
Single Drawn Hair Extensions
  • Varied Lengths: Single drawn hair features strands of different lengths, making it thickest at the top and gradually thinning towards the ends.
  • Natural Look: The varied lengths give single drawn hair extensions a more natural, tapered appearance.
  • Cost-Effective: These extensions are generally more affordable due to less processing.
Double Drawn Hair Extensions
  • Uniform Lengths: Double drawn hair extensions consist of strands that are almost all the same length, resulting in a fuller, thicker look from root to tip.
  • Voluminous Appearance: These extensions offer a more voluminous and glamorous look, perfect for those seeking a fuller hairstyle.
  • Higher Cost: The additional processing to sort and align the hair strands makes double drawn hair extensions typically more expensive.
100% Virgin Indian Hair
  • Definition: Virgin Indian hair is completely unprocessed and untreated. It has not been dyed, bleached, or chemically altered in any way .
  • Quality: This hair is considered the highest quality because it maintains its natural state. It is thick, strong, and shiny .
  • Versatility: Virgin hair can be styled in various ways, including straightening, curling, and coloring.
  • Maintenance: It requires similar care to natural hair, such as regular washing, conditioning, and the use of hair products.

100% Raw Indian Hair
  • Definition: Raw Indian hair is also unprocessed, but it undergoes minimal processing to clean and sanitize it.
  • Quality: This hair is natural and pure, but it may not be as uniform in texture and color as virgin hair.
  • Versatility: Raw hair is less versatile compared to virgin hair because it hasn’t been treated to achieve a consistent texture.
  • Maintenance: It requires minimal maintenance but may need more care to maintain its natural look and texture.

Which is the Best.

“Raw Indian hair” is generally considered to be better quality than “virgin Indian hair”  because raw hair is completely unprocessed and retains its natural texture, while virgin hair may have undergone minimal processing to achieve a more uniform look, making raw hair the higher quality option.
Key points to remember:
  • Processing level: Raw hair is completely unprocessed, whereas virgin hair may have undergone minor treatments like steam texturizing.

  • Natural texture: Raw hair maintains its natural texture and characteristics, while virgin hair may have a more standardized texture.

  • Longevity: Due to minimal processing, raw hair usually lasts longer than virgin hair.

We use 100% raw Indian hair for our extensions because it offers unparalleled quality and authenticity. This hair is sourced in its natural state, ensuring that it retains its original cuticle layer, which results in superior strength, softness, and longevity. The unprocessed nature of raw Indian hair provides a more realistic appearance and feel, blending seamlessly with your own hair. Additionally, the diverse range of textures and natural shine of Indian hair enhances the versatility and overall aesthetic of our extensions. By choosing 100% raw Indian hair, we ensure that you receive a product that not only looks and feels natural but also stands the test of time.

It is important to properly care for your hair extensions and wigs.  For the best results we recommend the following:

  • Do not sleep with your wig on.
  • Braid your hair extensions while sleeping and if possible, sleep on a silk pillow.
  • Avoid products containing alcohol or ethanol.  If possible only use salon-grade products purchased from an actual salon.
Sew-In Weaves
  • Process: Your natural hair is braided into cornrows, and the hair extensions are sewn onto the braids using a needle and thread.
  • Benefits: This method is secure and can last for several weeks. It also allows for versatile styling.

Treat the hair as if it is your own. Use a flat iron/straightener or tongs, even when fitted, but as with your own hair, never use hot tools too often as you could dry the hair and it will not last as long. We do not recommend using hot tools that are higher than 170°C. We highly recommend using a heat protectant before using hot tools.

We completely understand that choosing the right color from a computer screen cannot always be easy, to ensure the exact color please send us a sample of your own hair and we will try to match it, (please email for postal address) or you can simply upload your photo onto our color match form. Hair extensions can usually be one shade lighter or darker than your hair & still blend in. It makes all the difference once they are clipped in. In general, most people’s hair is darker underneath than on. We offer an easy exchange policy if your hair extensions do not match, simply return them along with a sample of your own hair (if necessary) for an exchange of the correct color.

The hair can be colored or toned if required. As a general rule, it is easier to darken the hair than to lighten the hair. Blonde hair has been bleached more so more caution must be taken when carrying out a dying / toning process. We highly recommend having your hairdresser dye/tone the extensions as you will get the results you want, coloring or toning the hair always poses a high risk of not coming out of the shade you want. We do not advise attempting to color the silicone tops as this may damage the silicone.  Always test a small sample first & wash the hair prior to dying. We do not recommend bleaching the hair. Please note that dying or toning the extensions is done so at your own risk and voids any chance of return.

You can wash them as you would your own – Shampoo and conditioner. However, we do suggest a shampoo to be preferably sulfate-free and designed for colored hair. For a conditioner, we would recommend a product that contains an Argan/Hair Oil or using Coconut Oil as a deep conditioner. We also recommend using a hair treatment on them every few weeks such as a hair mask, because the hair is not attached to your scalp it is not getting the oils it should be. Using a treatment/hair mask will help keep them looking healthier and shiny for longer! You will find that you don’t need to wash your extensions too much, about every 3 weeks. The extensions can be blow-dried, but it is not recommended to do it too often. It is best to let your hair extensions dry naturally after washing them.
